Register for Distance Education Courses

Please note that your registration is not complete until you receive a confirmation via your Iowa State University e-mail account (e.g., username@iastate.edu). Please check your iastate.edu e-mail often for announcements and special requirements relating to your registration.

Cancelling registration
If none of your courses has begun, and you wish to cancel your registration in all courses for a specific term:

• Fax or mail the registration cancellation form

http://www.iastate.edu/~registrar/forms/cancel.pdf to the Office of the Registrar, or

• Call 515-294-1889. Check your AccessPlus account to verify you dropped the course.

Adding a course
Spring and fall semesters (79 days)--To add a class more than five days after the term begins, you need written permission from the instructor.

For summer courses or any course less than 79 days long-- Course deadlines are prorated based upon the individual course dates. Written permission from the instructor may be required if the course has already started.

Contact the Tuition and Fees Office at 515-294-1889 or e-mail registrar@iastate.edu for the specific deadlines and registration requirements for your courses.

Approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the start of a course, or within 2-3 days of registration if less than 3 weeks prior to the start of the course, you will be e-mailed critical dates for your courses. Watch your ISU e-mail account for this important information.

Drop courses in one of the following ways:

• Send a fax to the Office of the Registrar, 515-294-6773
• Visit the Office of the Registrar, 0460 Beardshear Hall
